The latest edition of Dayspring, just published, has 32 pages of stories, features and puzzles on the theme of creativity, which Baháʼís believe to be a spiritual capacity to be nurtured in every one of us.

Dayspring is a children's magazine for 5-12 year olds published by the UK Baháʼí community, and intended to nurture a love for God and humankind, inspired by the teachings of the Baháʼí Faith.

For Baháʼís, the arts, sciences and crafts are counted as worship. And music is 'a ladder for the soul'.

This edition includes:

  • a feature on Robert Hayden, the first African-American poet laureate of the United States, and a Baháʼí

  • a feature on the Word of God as the ultimate source of creativity

  • A colouring sheet (on the final page) featuring words of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá: "I want you to be happy... to laugh, smile and rejoice in order that others may be made happy by you".

This latest edition - together with a separate 'printable activities' pdf- can be downloaded here.
