Birth of Bahá’u’lláh
Bahá’u’lláh was the prophet founder of the Bahá’í Faith. He was born in Teheran on this day in 1817. This day and the previous day, which is the anniversary of the birth of the Báb, are celebrated by Bahá’ís as a special Twin Holy Day.
In 2017 this occasion marks the bicentenary of the date of Bahá’u’lláh’s birth. All over the world, Bahá’ís will be celebrating this special day in various ways with their families, friends and neighbours.
