Bahá’ís regularly visit schools to participate in collective worship or assemblies.  You can request a Bahá’í speaker – or, if you are a Bahá’í, learn more about visiting schools in your area – by going to the School Visitors page.

The materials suggested on this page have been loosely collected under seasonal headings, to indicate which time of the school year might be most appropriate for their use.  In practice, though, most of these presentations could be used at any time of year.

Some of the slides have an accompanying script, so we recommend you view the presentation in ‘notes view’.

You can help: If you have used Bahá’í material in an assembly and are willing to share it with others, please contact Bahá’í RE.

Autumn

“Ye are all the fruits of one tree, the leaves of one branch, the flowers of one garden.” Bahá’u’lláh

The following presentation introduces the Bahá’í Faith and its core concept of ‘unity’. It includes a visualisation exercise, a song and an activity that encourages children to reflect on the way that as a garden is more beautiful because of the diversity of its flowers and trees, so mankind is enhanced by the diversity of people.

Presenter notes are included with the Powerpoint, and there are separate versions for KS1 and KS2.  The assembly is designed to take about 20 minutes.
