Birth of the Báb

The Báb was the forerunner of Bahá’u’lláh, prophet founder of the Bahá’í Faith. He was born in Shiraz on this day in 1819.
Bahá’ís often organise celebrations in their local communities to observe this and the following special day. They are sometimes referred to as the ‘twin Holy Days’.
